About Lisa Green
Born Lisa Ann Green, September 7, 1964, in Miami, Florida. Lisa is the second of four children, and the only female, in her extended family. Her oldest brother, Steven Connell, and youngest brother, Ryan Green, are not related.
Lisa lived in Miami until age 12. At that point mother, Jacquelyn Green, younger brother, David Green, and Lisa moved to Panama City, Florida. After high school Lisa received an Associates Degree in Finance at Gulf Coast Community College. Lisa completed her undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida.
Lisa is the only family member to complete college but admits her grades didn't reflect her intellectual abilities. Early in life Lisa was diagnosed with A.D.D. or Attention Deficit Disorder with excessive hyperactivity. To Lisa that meant an overactive mind, and when not exercised properly, resulted in physical restlessness. Lisa said, "I've always had a great deal of energy. Concentrating and staying focused wasn't an easy task until I a became a mature adult."
After graduation Lisa moved to Orlando, Florida and became an Office Manager at the Urban League. The experience involved not only office management but proposal writing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
After two years Lisa (a bisexual) relocated with her boyfriend to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The relationship became her focus so she opted for a temporary assignment at Racal - Milgo, in the hi tech industry. The relationship didn't last but her work ethics and performance earned her a permanent position within the company. Lisa worked for Racal for nine years in various financial analysis & budgeting positions.
In 1997, Lisa relocated to Atlanta, GA with a same sex partner. Lisa found a finance job at a hi tech global corporation, Storagetek, Inc.. The job focused on budgeting, analysis & forecasting profitability. Although Lisa was no longer passionate about the work she found the commitment to maintain her work ethics. The hours were often long and arduous as was her prior employment experience. Although she enjoyed the company of primarily, inspiring coworkers, the continual mountain of tasks took a toll on her physically, emotionally and mentally.
In 2002 Lisa relocated back to Florida and began working at Kforce, a staffing corporation in Tampa, Florida. She was burned out by financial positions, and she longed for a new career direction. click here---->
